The first reason to stop using Heroin may seem obvious. That is that, Heroin can kill you. Heroin is a very powerful Opiate narcotic. Also, since it’s off the street, one never knows exactly what is contained in the heroin. There are cases where by people, have gotten permanent Parkinson’s disease from substances that contaminated the heroin. Again, the number one reason to stop Heroin use is so you won’t die of an overdose.
The next great reason to stop using Heroin is that it’s illegal. If you get caught with Heroin, you can go to jail or even prison. Once this happens, you will have a record and have a drug offense permanently attached to you for life. If you ever apply for a job or anything else, you’ll have to put down that you are a felon. So, not using Heroin is the best way to avoid being arrested for Heroin possession.
Finally, no one wants to be dependent on drugs. No one wakes up in the morning and says I think “I’m going to become a drug addict today.” When you are addicted to heroin, you have a “Monkey on your Back.” That’s not a good thing. Your whole life is consumed around getting more and taking more Heroin, to avoid the painful and uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms. If that is the case, you need to stop.
