The trick to sending someone you care about to one of the rehab centers in Georgia and them actually getting help is not forcing it on them. One of the biggest problems with getting people to quit a bad habit is getting them to want to quit.
If you have someone with a drug habit or an alcohol habit they have to accept that they have an addiction and want to quit in order for going to one of the rehab centers in Georgia to work. If a person does not want to quit doing drugs or drinking alcohol no amount of rehab is going to help them because they will eventually get out and start going it again because they did not want to quit in the first place.
The first step to quitting is admitting that you have a problem. If you know someone who is addicted to a harmful habit, they have to admit that they are an addict and admit they have a problem. Then, they need to admit that they need help. If you cannot get your loved one to the point of acceptance, there is not going to be anything to gain by sending them to a rehab center.
A rehab center is not meant to be a form of punishment. In fact, rehab centers are going to do what they can to make your loved one as comfortable as they can so they do not want to go back to the drugs or alcohol. The last thing the center wants your loved one to do is go through withdrawals and wish they had just continued to drink or do drugs. They will usually give them some kind of medication to help with the headaches and sickness associated with withdrawals.
Once your loved one accepts and admits to the addiction, the next step is getting the drugs or alcohol out of their system. Going through withdrawals is going to be the hardest part. Once the withdrawals are over, the rehab center will help the individual figure out why they became addicted in the first place. This is to prevent the system from repeating once they get back out.
