Typically, there are 3 main types of diamond blades that can be used wet or dry, continuous rim, turbo-style/turbo rim, or segmented rim diamond blades.

Uses

Continuous rim diamond blades are typically used for work with tiles or natural stones like projects that concern the bathroom, kitchen, or in landscaping.

Turbo-style or turbo rim diamond blades are used in projects where you need to cut through concrete and bricks as well as tile products. This type of diamond blade is typically used to quickly cut through material, as its name suggests.

Segmented rim diamond blades are also used to cut bricks and concrete. In addition, it is also used to cut masonry blocks and limestone. Because of its specific design, segmented rim diamond cutting blades are often referred to as dry cutting blades.
