Born To Shop In Santa Monica

Once considered a sleepy, waterfront town, Santa Monica has grown into a thriving metropolis with some of the very best eating and shopping in the entire Bay region. At one time called a relaxing Bay City, it has since progressed to become the Nice of California. Is it any wonder many people dream of purchasing condos on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica?

There are two people in the world – those who love to shop and those who don’t. If you don’t like to shop, do NOT visit the Third Street Promenade. This pedestrian promenade covers a three block expanse. Lined with beautiful jacaranda trees and dotted with ivy-topiary dinosaurs, this is the place to find whatever high end material good you desire. Under strings of lights, weave your way through the many street vendors and into some of the most classy retail stores in North America.

The Third Street Promenade has branches of almost every possible American retail outlet. Here are American Eagle Outfitters and Armani Exchange. It also has some local stores. There is Wasteland Vintage for those who like their clothes to have character. You can also visit the traditional stores such as Converse, Champs, Banana Republic and Aldo.

You can also find casual outdoor cafés. Buy a book from Barry R. Levin Science Fiction & Fantasy Literature, sit down and enjoy a beverage. People watch for a while, and then head back into this consumer paradise. Visit Crystal Works or Adamm’s Stained Glass & American Craft Gallery. If you want to take in a movie, there are plenty of cinemas hovering around the area. All this is easily reached from any of the condos on Ocean Avenue.

Santa Monica Place

At the south end of the Third Street Promenade is Santa Monica Place. Renovated in 2010, this “mall” is sleek. It combines specialty shops with what is termed a “foodie heaven.” Wander through the three stories containing such retailers as Bloomingdale’s, Burberry, Coach, the Disney Store, Eton, Eva Varro and Nordstrom, to name a few. Make sure, you make your way up to the Rooftop food court. The view from this view is as magnificent as that form many of the city’s condos on Ocean Avenue.

If you love to shop, consider what the pleasure of having one of the beautiful condos on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica can offer you. Enjoy everything a city can offer you from celebrated designers to street vendors. It is all waiting for you if you decide to visit or move to Santa Monica.
