Bible Prophecy Fulfilled

by | Dec 15, 2014 | Religion

The Bible talks about many events that will come true. Some believe that all of these events have taken place, while others believe that some are yet to be fulfilled. There is one event, the coming of the Holy Spirit that is Bible prophecy fulfilled.

One Fulfilled Prophecy

Jesus the Christ, when He walked the earth, prepared His followers for His departure by letting them know that He must leave and return to His Father but that He would send someone else in His place. He called this someone else, a Comforter, a Teacher, The Holy Spirit (John 14:16, 17, 25-26).  This prophecy was fulfilled when what seems like an unexplainable event occurs. The followers of Jesus began saying and doing things that had not been heard of before. Peter explained it in Acts 2:17 as a fulfilled prophecy given by the Prophet Joel. This Bible fulfilled prophecy has purpose.

Prophecy with Purpose

It is wonderful to know that there is a God that cares enough for each of His creations to leave a Teacher that can answer the many questions that He knew would arise. The scriptures say, and they must be believed to be the inspired Word of God, that man does not need any one to teach him but the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that will teach you and guide you in the way that you should go. I am sure you have heard the saying, “looking for answers in all the wrong places”.  Well that is no longer necessary. The creator of man has made a way to get answers to man. He, the Holy Spirit, knows God. The scriptures themselves are fulfilled Bible prophecy. In them it is written (1 Corinthians 2:9-12) that God has not only prepared for man but has kept ready for him, or at least for those that love Him, and as the Amplified Bible reads, those who reverence Him by obeying Him, benefits that only the Holy Spirit can reveal. It goes on to say that the Holy Spirit searches the things that are within God and it is these hidden things that He reveals to man. It cannot be forgotten that God is a God of wisdom. He will therefore not reveal all His secrets to strangers or those who do not believe. After all, would you tell your family secrets to strangers, especially those that do not have your best interest at heart?

The Purpose Continues

When a Bible prophecy is fulfilled, it continues. When the Holy Spirit came, He remained.  As long as there is a man that believes God, the Holy Spirit will be available with the answers that are needed to overcome any question that may arise. There is a catch however, you must come and ask of Him. If any man lacks wisdom, let him ask James 1:5.
